Struggling To Focus At Work? Here's 3 Practices That Can Help

Welcome to Marginal Gains

Hello, Marginal Gains community!

We're excited to have you with us once again as we explore ways to make meaningful changes in our lives.

In this issue, I’m sharing 3 practices to help you focus better at work.

Do you struggle to focus at work?

Here's 3 simple mindfulness practices you can use to improve your focus:

1. Breath Awareness:

Did you know up to 80% of people experience shallow breathing when working in front of a computer screen.

Screen apnoea, as it's also known, can lead to increased stress, anxiety and reduced focus.

Take 5 deep breaths between tasks to help you stay mindful, reduce stress and improve focus.

2. Mindful Breaks:

Step away from your computer every 30-60 minutes.

Just stand. Focus on your surroundings, and breathe for 2 minutes. Do this every 30-60 minutes to help clear the mind and recharge your body.

You'll see your energy and focus levels recharge effortlessly.

3. Gratitude Reflection:

Acknowledge three positive moments at the end of each day.

Your brain loves looking for patterns. By consciously looking for positive moments in your day, you'll find that your outlook on work will become more positive.

Even when facing challenges you'll find that you'll start to put a positive spin on it.

Stop living on autopilot and become more present in life. Use these tips and watch your performance improve leaps and bounds.

If you enjoyed this, help us grow by sharing it with one person you think would like this.
