A Simple Mindset Change To Help You Appreciate The Smaller Things

Welcome to Marginal Gains

Hello, Marginal Gains community!

Welcome back to another issue.

Before we begin this week's issue, I have a small ask:

If you're enjoying the newsletter, please help us grow by sharing it with one person you think will enjoy it. It really does help us grow.

This week:

A Simple Mindset Change To Help You Appreciate The Smaller Things

A simple reframe I've learnt about recently that has made me more grateful:

Instead of saying "I have to.." say "I get to.."

I take things for granted when I think I have to do it.

"I have to go to work"

But when I think of what I get to do, it makes me more grateful.

"I have to go to work" becomes "I get to work as a pharmacist"

It reminds me of what I've achieved.

But also reminds me that there might be someone who wishes they could do what I do, so I should be grateful.

A small change in words but a big change in how I feel.

Try it for yourself and see how you feel.

The next time you find yourself saying "I have to..." change it to "I get to.." and see how blessed you are
