This simple exercise can help beat the afternoon slump

Welcome to Marginal Gains

Hello, Marginal Gains community!

We're excited to have you with us once again as we explore ways to make meaningful changes in our lives.

Great news!

We’ve launched a new newsletter for anyone interested in getting started with journalling.

Like many, I tried journalling in the past but struggled with blank page syndrome.

Now I find it easy to journal every day.

Discovering prompts helped make journalling easier for me so I was able to reap the benefits of it.

If you want to start journalling yourself and get a new prompt each week, then make sure you're subscribed to keep updated.

You can check out the first issue here:

Now let’s get on with this week’s issue:

This Simple Exercise Can Help Beat The Afternoon Slump

Non Sleep Deep Rest, aka NSDR, is a type of mindful relaxation.

Just 10 minutes of NSDR can:
• Improve thinking
• Improve focus
• Improve sleep

Not bad for a 10 minute investment of time.

I first came across this exercise after listening to the Andrew Huberman podcast.

Since hearing about it I've tried it a few times, especially after I've had a bad night's sleep, and I've noticed improved focus straight away.

So the next time you think about having a cup of coffee in the afternoon, don't!

Take a 10 minute break and try NSDR.

Your sleep will thank you.

If you want to give it a try, check out the YouTube video linked below.

I normally use it to help guide me through NSDR

If you enjoyed this, reshare it with someone you think would like this.
