This Week

Scheduling a 'scary hour' into your morning can help make you more productive. By getting the more intimidating tasks out of the way it will give you a sense of achievement early in the day, which you can build on to get the most out of your day.

Check out this video to see the innovative way this artist has repurposed the old-fashioned typewriter. The art pieces range from gorgeous scenery to replicas of renowned artworks.

Instead of trying to master or conquer time, Oliver Burkeman argues we should accept our time is limited. By embracing that the time we have is fixed and that we can only do so much with the time we have, we can become more intentional with what we do with it. A great read which gives a good preview of Oliver's book, "Four Thousand Weeks", one of the best books I've read that helped to reframe productivity for me.

If you're trying to achieve a goal outside of your comfort zone it can feel hard to do this without it affecting the other parts of your life. When this happens we can feel low or deflated. Brad Stulberg describes a way to optimise without the other parts suffering. By defining a minimum effective dose of what matters to you, you can work towards your lofty goal without other aspects of what's core to you suffering.

A new browser tool that's optimised to help improve your productivity. With features such as the app sidebar, split-view and distraction blocker it can help keep focus on the task at hand, helping you to speed through your tasks.
