Tired from Thinking

According to a new study, the reason you feel tired after a long day of hard thinking is due to the build up of potentially toxic by-products in the brain. Walk Yourself to Better Health

Want to be healthier, think better and feel better? Walk more.

This week I listened to the Feel Better,Live More podcast episode “Why walking is the superpower you didn’t know you had with Professor Shane O’Mara”.

This was an absorbing listen where I learnt about the amazing benefits of walking regularly. Walking does more than help our hearts and lungs. Walking has been found to help improve problem solving and increase creativity. It can also help to improve your mood and even reverse ageing of the brain!

Want to live longer? Be more optimistic!

This was an intriguing article I came across this week. Being more positive and optimistic in life has been shown to be beneficial for your health and even let you live longer. A number of studies have shown that being more optimistic and positive can lead to better health and well-being. Now a recent study has shown that it is also linked to a longer life.

Amor Fati

I came across this Tik Tok from Ryan Holiday, the best-selling author of many books such as The Obstacle is the Way. He reminds us to view every obstacle we come across as a way for us to level up and make ourselves better. It reminds me of a quote from Rumi - “If you are irritated by every rub, how will your mirror be polished”.
