4 tips to help you remember tasks.

Never forget to get milk on the way home again!

Welcome to Marginal Gains

Ever walk into a room and forget why you're there?

This is because of a glitch in something called prospective memory, which helps us remember future tasks, like getting milk on the way home or making sure you turn the alarm on before you leave home.

When the glitch happens, you forget what you were supposed to do, like why you walked into a room in the first place.

It's frustrating when this happens, but did you know there are simple tricks to help stop the glitch from happening?

Here's 4 tips that can help you remember what you need to do:

1. Make it visual:

Use visual cues, such as photos or videos or even post it notes to help you remember a task.

2. Make it routine:

Do things in a set order.

Establishing consistent habits reduces the need to remember each step individually, making it more automatic.

3. Say it out loud:

Say your tasks out loud. This reinforces the memory through auditory repetition, making it easier to remember.

4. Act it out:

Act out what you need to do.

Performing the actions physically helps solidify the memory through muscle memory and movement.

Using these tips can help you remember your tasks better.

I came across these tips from an interesting article on prospective memory. You can read the full article here.
