This 1 Habit Could Make You Live Longer

Welcome to Marginal Gains

Hello, Marginal Gains community!

We're excited to have you with us once again as we explore ways to make meaningful changes in our lives.

This week:

It's all downhill after you get to 30.

You wake up one day with back pain that just never goes.

It gets worse.

As you age you get weaker.

You begin to lose upto 5% of your muscle every decade.

When you're weaker, you're more likely to fall. And when you fall, you're likely to struggle to get up.

But that's not all..

Less muscle means less protection for your bones as you age. Meaning when you do fall, you're more likely to break a bone.

Doesn't sound too bad until you realise that falls are the biggest cause of death in ages 65+.

Resistance training can help.

Resistance training, whether it's through bodyweight exercises or weights, helps you keep muscle as you age, reducing your fall risk.

If you do end up falling, your muscle helps provides protection from impact for your bones.

It doesn't take much to maintain your muscle.

Just focus on doing simple bodyweight exercises daily like press ups, squats and dips can help maintain muscle.

That’s it!

Implement a simple resistance training routine now and save your old self a world of hurt.
